These routes were designed to include public parking lots or parks so you can choose where you want to begin & end your trip and plan your rest stops at our local businesses and attractions. Since Orleans County is situated in the Lake Plains, the trails we developed are generally flat terrain, with the elevation ranging from 247′ to 737′ above sea level. The major state routes, such as Route 31, 104, 98 and 63 include wide shoulders for cycling and heavier traffic. When traveling on rural roadways, with smaller or no shoulders – you will need to share the road with automobiles and/or horse & buggies in the Amish & Mennonite communities.
We developed our cycling trails using MapMyRide.com which features details of the routes. Click on the map my fitness logo located in the upper right hand corner of the interactive map to go to the route details. You can also export the route in GPX or KML formats.
