Orleans County is part of the 5-county region of Western New York: Niagara, Erie, Orleans, Genesee & Wyoming Counties - collectively called the Greater Niagara USA Region.
Fresh Air Adventures is a regional co-op program that includes the counties of Genesee, Wyoming, Orleans & Alleghany to promote the rural tourism assets of the Greater Niagara USA Region.
Lake Ontario Sportfishing Council includes the counties that share a border with Lake Ontario and the common goal of promoting sportfishing on Lake Ontario and their tributaries. The partners include the counties of Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego and Jefferson.
100 Must See Miles on the Erie Canal is a co-op program between Orleans, Monroe and Wayne Counties. It highlights the points of interest and services along a 100 mile stretch of the Erie Canal from the canal town ports of Medina to Clyde.
The NYS Canal System, celebrating over 200 years, is integral to the development and evolution of Orleans County. We work closely with CanalsNY to enhance the recreational aspects of the Erie Canal in terms of cycling, boating and fishing as well as celebrate its historical significance.
Lakes to Letchworth is a 2-county partnership between Orleans County and Wyoming County to encourage travelers to take the road less traveled and explore the great natural resources: Lake Ontario to the north and Letchworth State Park to the south.
The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor works to preserve and share our extraordinary heritage, to promote the Corridor as a world class tourism destination, and to foster vibrant communities connected by more than 500 miles of waterway.
